Sanford offers BLS certification

WORTHINGTON — Sanford Worthington Medical Center will offer the Basic Life Support for the Health Care Provider certification course on Wednesday.

The American Heart Association Basic Life Support for the Health Care Provider course is designed for participants who respond to cardiac and respiratory emergencies. Content includes adult, child, and infant CPR (both one and two-rescuer,) proper treatment for the choking adult, child, and infant, and instruction on the use of barrier devices, a bag-mask device, oxygen, and an automatic external defibrillation (AED).

Part I is completed on-line through the American Heart Association, and Part II, a skills test-out, can be completed through SWMC’s Training Center.
