In the Feb. 13 Daily Globe, there was an article about the Humane Society of the U.S. filing to protect the grey wolves from being hunted to keep the numbers down. It seems hypocritical of the HSUS, since not long ago it was running ads on TV about spaying and neutering pets and how fast they can multiply.
The same thing applies to wolves. Wolves are the terrorists of Minnesota wildlife, and prey on the most vulnerable baby animals and farm animals. Maybe that’s why the moose population is down. Millions of dollars have been paid out to farmers for livestock that wolves we have killed. We have far too many wolves.
Also, in the Feb. 14 Globe article about John Boehner, R-Ohio and Speaker of the House, one paragraph sticks out. “I’m not getting myself locked into a corner on what I’m for or what I’m against,” he said. Does that sound like a leader? So we have John Boehner, “the coward,” Eric Cantor, “the bad” and Paul Ryan, “the ugly.”
