WORTHINGTON — Worthington High School’s speech team finished seventh out of 21 teams at the Mankato East Fiesta Tournament last Saturday.
Individual winners in the various categories include: Creative — Cesar Montejo, Blue; Jaimi Seesongkram, first place (novice). Informative — Thip Keovilay, first place (novice); Erin Benz, fifth place (novice). Extemporaneous Speaking — Jennifer Mayorga, first place; Larry Leovan, Blue; Kenneth Garcia, fifth place (novice). Storytelling —Kaili Burger, first place; Bianca Alvarez, Blue. Discussion — Christopher Mayorga, sixth place (novice); Patrick Burns, fourth place (novice). Drama — Helen Escoto, second place (novice). Prose — Ana Lozano, Blue. Humor — Caleb Dirksen, third place (varsity); Megan Cavanaugh, fourth place (novice).
Coaches Linda Neugebauer and Anna Korver next take their team to competition Saturday at Minnesota State University, Mankato.
