MW MENS BASKETBALL: South No. 4 Bluejays face North No. 1 Vermilion

WORTHINGTON — The schedule for the NJCAA Division III Men’s Basketball Region 13 Tournament has been released.

The tournament begins Friday and continues through Sunday at Anoka-Ramsey Community College.

There are four quarterfinal-round games Friday.

South No. 2-seed Minnesota State-Fergus Falls (20-7) plays North No. 3 seed Hibbing (12-15) at 1 p.m. South No. 4 seed Minnesota West (13-13) battles North No. 1 seed Vermilion (25-2) at 3 p.m.

South No. 3 seed Anoka-Ramsey (14-13) meets North No. 2 seed Central Lakes (19-7) at 5 p.m. South No. 1 seed Rochester (24-3) takes on North No. 4 seed Mesabi Range (14-13) at 7 p.m.

Semifinal games in the consolation brackets (10 a.m. and 12 p.m.) and championship brackets (2 p.m. and 4 p.m.) are all scheduled for Saturday.

The consolation championship game is set for 10 a.m. Sunday. The third-place game follows at 12 p.m. Sunday. The championship game tips off at 2 p.m. Sunday.

The Region 13 champion automatically advances to the NJCAA Division III Men’s Basketball Tournament.
