Local St. Patrick’s Day parades planned

ADRIAN — Grab your green garb and take a drive over to Adrian or Luverne this Saturday for the annual St. Patrick’s Day celebrations.

Adrian will host a parade at 3 p.m. Anyone wanting to participate in the parade is asked to gather at Adrian Auto. The parade will begin there and end at the corner of the Sports Page.

In Luverne, people are invited to participate in a 4 p.m. Saturday parade. The Luverne Area Chamber of Commerce is offering $25 cash prizes this year for the best-dressed child, teen and adult; the best business and the best family entry. No pre-registration is required.

The Luverne parade route has changed from previous years due to safety concerns. Parade participants are asked to gather in the parking lot north of the city building. The parade will go around the Courthouse Square.
