Global warming? Look at the Bible

There always have been fluctuating temperatures on earth; record cold temperatures were just broken in our area.

The recent article in the Daily Globe titled “Exploring Global Warming” (Feb. 8) was based more on hallucinations than true science. The same hallucinating was going on 25 years ago when so-called scientists claimed they had proof of the coming ice age. There always have been fluctuating temperatures on earth; record cold temperatures were just broken in our area. One of the forerunners in the presidential race was pictured in a newspaper holding a sign that said, “Stop Global Warming — Save Our Seasons.”

God tells us in the Bible (Genesis 8:22): “As long as earth endures, seedtime and harvest, cold and heat, summer and winter, day and night will never cease.” God tell us (II Peter 3:7 and 10) that the earth will endure, being reserved until the judgment of ungodly men by fire.

Scoffers doubt the earth can be destroyed by fire when most of it is covered in water, besides the water in the soil. All God has to do is release the bond that He created to hold H2O together. Hydrogen and oxygen by themselves are each very combustible. Revelation 21:1 backs this up. In Matthew 22:29 Jesus tells us: “You are in error because you do not know the Scriptures or the power of God.”
