Our system is totally messed up - from the county social workers & supervisors, to the county attorneys who CHOOSE whether or not to even take child abuse matters to court, and to the judges who generally let these people off with no consequences. Then the kids go back home to dangerous situations - and are threatened to keep their mouths shut about what happens at home. Yeah....I work with these types of kids & have seen it happen too many times. And it's not just Nobles County. Our Child Protection Laws do very little to protect children. It's a joke & the public should be outraged.
