I didn't know that! Interesting! Great story! Nice to read something positive and informative. I don't live in Worthington, but if I did I'd do my best to make sure the city recognized Ms. Earhart in some manner.

My son went to school in Worthington and learned this from Mrs. Hibma, gosh it must have been almost 6 years ago. She was also his favorite teacher so I'm sure he paid more attention to what she said than most his teachers. It's great someone is sharing such great local history.

This is a fantastic story! What I want to know is why when we were learning about Amelia Earhart, none of the teachers in the Worthington School District bothered to tell us that she actually lived in Worthington!
