Whoever wrote that article is living large because of the "evil white man's" expansionism. If the author feels that strongly about making reperations, then give your paycheque's to the Indian Tribe nearest you. They'll be happy to get it, and I'm sure it will make you feel better too. Moron.

Look, no one agrees more than me that the govt. screwed the Native Americans over. But for crying out loud, how long can you use that excuse for the astronomically high rate of alcoholism, drug abuse, domestic abuse, suicide, gangs, and other issues on the reservations? No matter how much $$ you pump into the reservation it all starts with personal responsibility. They want to be a sovriegn nation but yet want money from the federal govt. when they can't run their own show. I have respect for them as a people like I do all people but it's time to get over what happened 150 years ago. Our country has come a long way since then in how we treat people. In fact now we just bend over and say come on in and take what you want.
