My comment posted on 10/29/09 was incorrect and unsupported as I later was able to review the tape and photos. I have seen the photo of him not saluting the flag though.

Interesting Patrick C. No wonder there are 1990 pages in the senate version of the bill. Maybe lawyers will understand it with language like that but a lot of us won't know just what it is saying until it is too late which I suspect is just what the people pushing this health care bill are hoping for.

This will fix it - Excerpt from the recently unveiled bill - "(a) Outpatient Hospitals – (1) In General – Section 1833(t)(3)©(iv) of the Social Security Act (42 U.S.C. 1395(t)(3)©(iv)) is amended – (A) in the first sentence – (i) by inserting "(which is subject to the productivity adjustment described in subclause (II) of such section)" after "1886( b (3)(B (iii); and (ii) by inserting "(but not below 0)" after "reduced"; and (B in the second sentence, by inserting "and which is subject, beginning with 2010 to the productivity adjustment described in section 1886(B (3)(B (iii)(II)". The section deals with "incorporating productivity improvements into market basket updates that do not already incorporate such improvements," if that helps.

How wrong is it when obama does not salute a fallen soldier? That man is no president of mine!

When I read another liberal letter to the editor praising Obama's health care plan it almost makes me throw up. I think George Bush gets blamed for anything that goes wrong in this administration. Remember - who did he have to work with his last few years - a Democrat controlled House and Senate. I think the reason FOX is gaining popularity is because Americans are starting to wake up and realize we have a BIG dicatator ruling us and they are scared. They want the truth and FOX is the one of the only networks who will tell us what is going on behind closed doors. Did you know that a bill is being passed by Obama this week concerning defense for our country but some liberals added a "hate thought" amendment. This amendment will silence people like FOX, Rush, conservative speakers because they "offend" others. This is scarey as we already know what Obama and his puppets have done. I am sick of listening to Obama and his puppets and just as sick of listening to his followers who want those of us who pay our share of taxes to pay for all of their expenses.

Dennis, it appears that the only commentators on your letter disagree with you, and along I come and continue the pattern. Sorry. Did you see today that Pelosi spoke about the health care plan? The plan still includes taxpayer money paying for abortions and medical care for illegal aliens. I agree that we need to do something, but reform is the answer, not devising a plan that a.) no one has had the opportunity to read; b.) that we can't afford. And by we, I mean you and I, the American taxpayer, all to the tune of $10 trillion over 10 years. It also scares the heck out of me that this plan is going to be managed by the government. Did you know that the Cash for Clunkers Program - for every car sold it cost the government $24,000.00? Yep, $24,000.00. Tell me how you think, Dennis, that a government with all of its bureaucratical red tape is going to cost effectively and efficiently run a program that won't just affect thousands, but millions of people? As to blaming all of this on the previous administration, let me be the one to remind you that despite it's woes, it's that very administration that kept our shores safe and our people protected from the radical terrorist groups that would like nothing more than to kill all of us.

Yes, there remain some really good libs. But, then there remain an increasing number who are unable to think for themselves and find real facts on their own. WHich category do you belong to? Statisticly it's not looking good for you, Dennis. As to your answer....statistically speaking, of course, MSNBC and CNN are dangling on the bottom edge of failure. According to the HUFFINGTON POST http://www.huffingtonpost.com/2009/03/03/fox-news-ratings-remain-s_n_171455.html. And the NY TIMES http://mediadecoder.blogs.nytimes.com/2009/10/26/cnn-drops-to-last-place-among-cable-news-networks/. Again, statistically (I would hate for you to think I was biased or anything) Fox network continues to increase in viewer numbers that far exceed MSNBC and CNN. MSNBC actually has surpassed CNN in ratings. And get this.....MSNBC has no real news shows on the weekends! Losers.

I guess MSNBC must not have done a very good job "informing" Dennis Phelps of the numerous terror plans that HAVE BEEN stopped recently. But, of course Dennis and MSNBC would credit b.o.'s actions (or not!) for thwarting these terror plots over the past 9 months. In reality, the investigations that thwarted the terrorist plots were the direct result of the Bush administrations intelligence actions that the left so fought for the past 8 years. But enough on that. On Katrina.......funny how Dennis, and others, conveniently forget New ORleans was governed by a DEM mayor and La was governed by a DEM governor. But, of course, it was all G.W.'s fault, right. One other thing I jusssssstttt cannnnnn't quiiiiiiiiiite unnnnnnderrrrrrstand. In the case of Katrina, the city had, I don't know...you pick a number 3....4....5 days notice to get the ---- outa Dodge? And it was G.W.'s fault they didn't? And then the people damaged or killed were all Dem's right? Remember the vast right wing conspiracy claim to clean up New Orleans from Dem control? Well.......let's move onto Jan 2009. THese same Dem voters/ supporters were able to move MILLIIONS into a small Washington square for an Oba-inagural-celebration and able evacuate the area in a few hours. But they couldn't evacuate New Orleans in 3-4-5 DAYS???!!! Get a life Dennis! Get yourself educated to the real world or climb back in your rhetoric and propaganda lib hole and be quiet.
