Just another way for the government to get involved in our lives and our pockets. Wake up Legal United States Of America Citizens. Look at current past histories the government is not here to help us. Just help illegals and whom ever will bow down to them.

It's amazing how the liberals see themselves as intellectually superior to the knuckle-dragging, dumb-hick conservatives. We might be rednecks if we have common sense!! As far as providing health care benefits to illegals, Obama said that was not part of the plan. Joe Wilson called him a liar. So far, Joe Wilson was correct.

This letter makes many good points. Too many peopole are suckered-in by the liberal chant: "Free Health Care for Every One !" Anyone with any smarts know this is far from true. If you think Health Care is expensive now, just wait till its free.

I agree except for the part about a public education. I had one and am not in agreement with any part of the national health plan... the ones who are hanging on for this to happen are just like those stupid gals waiting for a phone call and standing in line for their Obama money.. how dumb can you be !

Mike, you nailed it right on the head. On top of your comments, the current plan Pelosi spoke about yesterday covers abortions and illegal aliens. $10 trillion over 10 years. And there is no way to pay for it save raising our taxes, which Obama promised not to do. Steve also makes a good point about government control. Look what they're trying to do to the media, Fox in particular. If they have their way we'll be nothing short of a puppet controlled by a government that's out of control.

Keep in mind folks....this is so much more than health insurance. It is all about the control over the people that this administration appears to desire. We need to look at history to see where this ideology took Germany.

You brought up some very good points Mike. I've had two relatives who worked for the federal government and their wages and benefits always far outdid mine in the private sector. The vacation and leave time they got were fantastic. I believe the trend has actually been to privatize some government services. A lot of things in the military such as food services are now being done by contractors. Prisons are being pretty much run by contractors in some states. In this area a lot of hospitals that used to be city owned have been taken over by Avera or Sanford. If government did things more efficiently would these things be happening? My understanding is that at first only a few people would be covered by the government option. Most people wouldn't qualify. So I don't know why people think this health care bill is going to benefit them. They mostly get to pay for it by paying higher taxes and by having their Medicare benefits cut.
