According to C C this should not have been an issue being it was a white person. Terrible things like this happen with all races. This is very sad. I hope the children get good homes and are able to forget this.

I am glad she had her parental rights taken away, but I bet her ovaries are still in place and she will have many more children. She should have never received her children back after the first incident. A person recieves a harsher penalty for kicking a dog. Forget the jail time, someone should have just broken her collar bone and then tied her tubes.

Pat, I do realize that. I agree there are people that should not have children. But to say they should not have children just because they work in a meat packing plant is another thing. There are many people that work in high paying jobs that I know that should not have children but do.

Let me clarify something here. I am in no way demeaning the hard work people at swift perform. I was making a statement showing the abusrdness of coming to court to try and explain why you beat the living daylights out of your kid, dressed in work clothes......hence the hard hat comment. I apologize for disrespecting hard hats by comparing her IQ to a hard hat. Jamie, some people have no business having kids or even a goldfish for that matter.

Our system is totally messed up - from the county social workers & supervisors, to the county attorneys who CHOOSE whether or not to even take child abuse matters to court, and to the judges who generally let these people off with no consequences. Then the kids go back home to dangerous situations - and are threatened to keep their mouths shut about what happens at home. Yeah....I work with these types of kids & have seen it happen too many times. And it's not just Nobles County. Our Child Protection Laws do very little to protect children. It's a joke & the public should be outraged.

Are some of you saying that working in a packing plant is not a respectable job? or you don't have any intelligance to work a job like that? there are people who take a job in a processing plant just to have employment because their chosen line of work in not hiring at the time. and you have to give them credit for that rather than live off the system like some do!
