First, I would like to congratulate all the peple invovled in opening Hot Shots. In a small community you need to suppport everyone in their business adventures you only a small area to work with and it is up to our community for business's to survive. Everyone complained there was no were to go for good food and drinks and now we have a new great, wonderful place to go. Anyone who has opened a business knows it is hard and takes a while to work out the kinks and stress. Let's all give them our small town support and encourgment. Although there will always be those people that are negative about others these new business owners need to remeber all the people that want them to succeed. I have been there and meet everyone envovled and I think they are excellent busness oriented people and extremelly professional.

Food and Beverage is a tough business. The locals are tough to please, and there is no reason for many people to make Worthington their evening destination. The big problem with Worthington is there is no elegant evening dining. And if there was, it would not get the business it takes to keep the doors open. But first and foremost, who wants to go to town, shop groceries, then go out to someplace nice to eat. Face it, Worthington is not a desireable place to spend a evening out. There is no where to go and nothing to do once you get there. The auditorium is the only good show in town, and the school has some interesting things happening once in a while, but not enough to draw in the out of towners that a true dining experience requires. WORTHINGTON NEEDS ENTERTAINMENT TO DRAW IN THE OUT OF TOWNERS OR IT WILL JUST GET MORE AND MORE STAGNANT.

I agree Wally. Heard from different people that the Manager was complaining a lot to customers and the waitresses weren't very accomadating. Also, Arnod made kind of a smart remark when I asked a question. I may give it another shot, but maybe the manager should stay home, because he if offends me I will never go back. Good Luck to the rest of them.

I believe Worthington would benefit from a really good buffet, like Royal Fork. Many older citizens would love it I think. I wish Hot Shots all the luck in the world and hope your business is a real success.

I don't think a bar/restaurant will do well inside a hotel. Everything inside that hotel has always been a dive for as long as I can remember. I'll give it a shot though, good luck! You are gonna have to ADVERTISE for all you got.

Lots of people from the Worthington area go to Sioux Fals to eat at Michael's. Does it sound familiar? It's owned by Larry Lang. By the way, Circle Pines has about 4,500 residents, Jasper about 600. Niether are big cities. I agree that there isn't really a 'nice' place to go out to eat in Worthington, and I don't believe "Hotshots' will fill the void. It's a bar with food, not a restaurant with liquor.

Well willie, I've been out of Worthington for over 10 years. The last time I visited everyone I knew was gone and the home I lived in was as shack. I feel so sorry you are offended by my big town talk. "gentelmen is not a put down" if that what tripped your anger. Micheal's as it was does not exist..............Your locally owned cafe style restaurants down town are gone........there was two nice places to eat "Steaks and table cloth", It's sad that they closed., Who would drive to SF for supper? Lots of people it's not that far way. The ethnic business comment? It is a diverse community and the easiest thing to enjoy is the variety of cuisine. I believe you are wrong, Kindly remove your small minded-city attitude out of the prejudice section in the dictionary and learn to spell some other words. I think your the one with the prejudice. There was no con·de·scend·ing statement made, Nor is the word ethinic an term used with prejudice indications............you live in Jasper not Worthington, about the same size as Circle pines........................

Brad, Arond and Woody are all nice guys and I think that they will be successful with their ideas and energetic working attitudes! The only thing I have bad to say is about their "manager"!! I was told by a gentleman who was with a group of 10, that when they walked in the door of Hot Shots on Nov 8, they were told by this "manager" that he couldnt help them because he was too busy! So they walked out and went to another local establishment. Is that how you want to give 1st impressions on your 3rd day of business Mr. Manager??? I plan on visiting this new restaurant and checking it all out, but not for the "manager", but instead his "assistants"!!! Good Luck you Three!!!!

I get booted out of here quite frequently. Usually if I wait a few minutes I can get back in. In regard to good dining options and Victor's comments: In a way, he's right. There isn't any EXCEPTIONAL food in Worthington. Kinbrae is close by and very good, and Bergen (over by Windom) for steaks, but overall I've not had any good food in Worthington at all. Perkins is fine for breakfast or whatever, but it's chain food - same with Ground Round. Seems to me a good, hometown restaurant could do very well in town. If King Wok is that place on the edge of town - out Swift way - well, that's the most disgusting excuse for Chinese food I've ever eaten in my life.
