Bill R. government is supposed to be you and me and all citizens of the US. It is not suppose to be dictators handing down laws. As Lincoln said in the Gettysburg address government is Of the people, By the people, and For the people. The Preamble of the Constitution states it as "We the People". Some of the people in Congress seem to need a reminder that they work for the people and if they don't want to do the will of the people we can replace them.

"We want REFORM!!! NOT government CONTROL!!" Yeah, that'll work for sure, First N., just like it did on Wall Street during the whole banking system collapse last year. So please just stir up some logic in your zinger pot and tell us fools how you reform the banking or the healthcare of our nation without the government exerting control. By definition, law = government having control.

ME: I wonder if you even have a clue what the nancy b.s./b.o. healthcare pelosi is all about? Do you realize, not only does the House bill not have any Tort reform in it, the bill actually THREATENS any states who have, or attempt, tort reform. The bill threatens to take away funding from states who attempt tort reform on their own. Second, do you and your ilk understand the health care bill will not even take effect until 2 0 1 3?????!!!!! Hmmmmmm....this pelosi just HAS TO BE rammed thru COngress and approved RIGHT NOW, but it does become releveant (except taxes will immediately be increased) until one year AFTER the 2012 presidential election. Hmmmmm, part 2. Do ya thaaannnk maybe these imbiciles realize how devistating this health care crap is going to be to our country and they realize they don't dare put it in play until after 2012 because it will ruin ANY CHANCE of them getting re-elected because the voters will see the absolute havoc it will reak on our country? Oh.....but of course the great community organizer WILL see to it his voters, the most worthless and stupid among among us make out better. It is just unimaginable for me to understand how so many educated and intelligent people have bought the propaganda/witch's brews these cronies are selling. Un-be-____-lievable!

A guy gets cancer, loses his job with its healthcare coverage. But he can't get any more insurance because he now has a preexisiting condition. That's okay with the Republicans and the usual commenters crawling out of the woodwork here at the Globe. None of them want reform. They're as weird as the hippie types were to the Democrat Party back in the 60's. And Palin is their poster child. Now that 66% of Americans would vote "no" for her if she were on the ballot in 2012, I hope the sentiments expressed by the typical commenters here keep taking over the Republican Party -- and we'll see a bigger loss in 2012 than the Republicans had in '64 when Goldwater extremized politics.

It isnt about reform. It is about the money and making sure those who are getting massive amounts of health care money keep getting it. I see nothing in there that will lower costs. No mention of eliminating the extra tests that doctors do because they are afraid of a lawsuit. I see no real reform of malpractice legal costs. I see nothing encouraging healthy lifestyles, the number one and easiest way to lower health care costs. We are doing nothing about preventing or curing disease, only dealing with symptoms and treatments. If you want to reform health care, you need to upset the status quo and then watch out, the squeeling will be really loud!!!!!

Looking at these posts, i think it is clear that Rep. Waltz is not representing us in Southern Mn. He is representing the special interests in Washington DC.. I (and MANY, MANY others) will note vote for him in 2010. Thank you Tim, you have saved me some time in the upcoming year, I will not have to research the election for 1st District in MN. I will just vote for whoever runs against you.

I am fortunate to have Congressman John Kline as my representative. As a former resident of Fulda if you guys are 100% serious you need to rally around the Republican (hopefully a Conservative and NOT a RINO) that will oppose this clown in the next election and get him/her elected. Walz is a pop-tart that caters to Princess Pelosi. When she crows he jumps!

What's in the water in Sleepy Eye? Stupid pills? Walz claims to have voted in the manner his constituents would like him to, that's a lie. I've talked to too many folks down this way - and read what the posters here are writing as well - to believe for one minute that SW MN residents want this health care plan. Do we want reform? Yes. Do we want the government to dictate or manage? No. Walz, you are on your way out. Might just as well start packing now, you're done.
