Pipestone, Luverne victorious
SPRINGFIELD — Both the Luverne and the Pipestone American Legion baseball teams stayed alive in the 2nd District tournament Monday night. Luverne defeated Wells, 8-7 in a game which saw six errors between the two teams. Pipestone, meanwhile, had a stellar pitching performance from Greg Quist. The right-hander allowed one run, but did not give up a hit to Wabasso as Pipestone advanced with a 12-1 victory in six innings.
