OKABENA — Outscoring Hills-Beaver Creek 23-7 during the final 12:21 of the first half and then starting the second half on a 10-4 surge Friday night, the seventh-seeded Southwest Star Concept Quasars built an impressive 41-17 lead and captured a 55-36 victory over the 10th-seeded Patriots in the opening round of the Section 3A South girls’ basketball tournament.
