LEGION BASEBALLL: Pipestone advances to state

JACKSON — Bryce Beyers and Chris Dougherty sprinted toward each other, leaped and bumped chests in midair. Brandan Alfson raced in from his position at shortstop and embraced his ecstatic teammates, and the rest of the players on Pipestone’s American Legion baseball team followed, joining in on a jubilant celebration near the pitcher’s mound at Wacker Field in Jackson.
