S.D.’s second oldest person dies at 110

MITCHELL, S.D. - The second-oldest resident in South Dakota, born in the late 1800s, has died in Mitchell. Dorothy Montgomery died Thursday at Avera Brady Health and Rehab at age 110. She was just seven weeks younger than the state‘s oldest living resident, Beryl Kapaun, 110, of Salem, who was born June 4, 1899.
