Chad and Heidi Rients, Mitchell, S.D., are the parents of a boy, Kalan Benjamin, born Jan. 28 at Avera Queen of Peace Hospital, Mitchell. Grandparents are Mike and Elaine Ahlers, Worthington, and Otis and Marilyn Rients, Lakefield. Great-grandparents are Rae Dass and Edna Rients, both of Lakefield.
