Our economy was on the brink of failure in the fall of 2008. This disaster was, in no small part, caused by Wall Street’s unregulated gambling of working Americans’ retirement savings and mortgages, massive tax cuts for the wealthiest Americans — which were supposed to do “trickle down” to the rest of us — and reckless leadership at the top.By: Clifford Bowman, Worthington, Worthington Daily Globe
