SIBLEY, Iowa — Combining a big-play offensive attack with a stifling defensive effort Friday night, the Hartley-Melvin-Sanborn Hawks opened the 2012 Iowa high school football season with an impressive 43-0 victory over a young and inexperienced Sibley-Ocheyedan Generals’ squad.
