Red Cross deploys Lakefield mother, daughter
LAKEFIELD — A Lakefield mother and daughter have been sent as American Red Cross volunteers to the East Coast to help in the aftermath of Superstorm Sandy. The storm, which devastated large portions of the Northeast almost a month ago, is likely to require the biggest Red Cross response in the U.S. in the past five years.
