Andy Mouw of Sibley, Iowa, served aboard the USS Bismarck Sea CVE-95 in the South Pacific during World War II. When the aircraft carrier was struck by two Japanese kamikazes on Feb. 21, 1945, more than 300 crew members aboard were killed.
