Art students from the Area Learning Center stand Tuesday — the 11th anniversary of the Sept. 11, 2011, terrorist attacks — with the abstract piece “Black Tuesday,” which approximately 50 ALC students created during the 2011-2012 school year to commemorate the attacks. The work, which was recognized with a Merit Award at April’s Area Art Show at the Nobles County Art Center, currently hangs at the ALC.
