Obituary: Karen Peterson

Karen Ann Peterson, age 57, of St. Paul, formerly of Worthington, passed away peacefully August 30, 2008.

Karen was a 1973 graduate of Bethel College, worked at the Salvation Army, Augustana Lutheran Crossroads Preschool, and the ECFE program at St. Paul Public Schools. Karen was also a faithful member of Central Baptist Church.

Preceded in death by father, Gordon Soderholm. Survived by mother, Pearl Soderholm; husband, William; children, Rachel, Joshua, and Rebekah; siblings, Janice (Craig) Ebeling, Charles (Janine) Soderholm; and many nieces and nephews.

Memorial service Thursday, September 4, 2008 at 6:30 P.M. at Central Baptist Church, 420 North Roy Street, St. Paul. Visitation Wednesday, September 3, 2008 4:00-8:00 P.M. at Bradshaw, 678 South Snelling at Eleanor, St. Paul. Memorials are preferred and can be directed to Central Baptist Church to be distributed to support their Families Learning Together and Mothers of Preschoolers programs. A portion will also be donated to local public literacy programs.
