Obituary: Karen Harders

Karen Jean Harders, daughter of Robert L. and Betty (Hindt) Kruger, was born Feb. 13, 1956, in Sibley, Iowa, and passed away at the Wayne County Hospital in Corydon on September 17, 2008, after a long battle with cancer.

She is survived by her husband, George; children, Matt and wife Amanda, Mark, Luke and Jennifer; and her parents, Robert and Betty Kruger. Other survivors include her sisters, Elaine (Gene) Holmquist, Joyce (George) Bruder, Anita (Robert) Hoting, and Brenda (Will) Kroontje; and brother Robert Jr. (Joan) Kruger; her grandchildren, Bailey and Hannah Harders; and several nieces and nephews.

Her paternal and maternal grandparents preceded her in death.

Karen was an amazing woman, full of grace, faith and courage. She will be greatly missed by everyone who knew and loved her.
