Obituary: James Christensen

James Richard Christensen, 65, of Slayton, died Wednesday, Oct. 8, 2008, at his home.

Surviving are his wife, Marilou Christensen, Slayton; three children, Scott (Bonnie) Christensen, Cheyenne, Wyo., Julie (Todd Severson) Jurrens, Slayton, and Marti (Jeff) Engelkes, Slayton; and eight grandchildren.

Visitation will be from 4 to 7 p.m. today, with a prayer service at 7 p.m., at Totzke Funeral Home, Slayton, and from 9:30 to 10:30 a.m. Saturday at St. Ann’s Church, Slayton.

The service will be 10:30 a.m. Saturday at St. Ann’s Church, Slayton, with the Rev. Patrick Arens officiating. Burial will be in St. Ann’s Cemetery, Slayton.
