Velma Nelson, 80, of Windom, died Saturday, Oct. 25, 2008, at Windom Area Hospital.

Surviving are three sons, Donald (Donna) Nelson, Carson City, Nev., James Nelson, Windom, and Rick (Barb) Nelson, Windom; one brother, Melvin (Jean) Mardick, Longmont, Colo., and two grandchildren.
Visitation will be from 5 to 7 p.m. Thursday at LaCanne Family Funeral Home, Windom.
A graveside memorial service will be 2:30 p.m. Saturday in Alden Cemetery, Alden, Iowa, with the Rev. Robert Miller officiating.
