Obituary: Richard Hoekstra

Richard Hoekstra, 71, of Ocheyedan, died Saturday, Nov. 22, 2008, at the Osceola Community Hospital, Sibley, Iowa.

Surviving is his wife, Marilyn Hoekstra, Ocheyedan; a son, Brian (Cheryl) Hoekstra, Ocheyedan; a daughter, Paula (Tom) Howard, Ocheyedan; three brothers, Garland Hoekstra, Kingsville, Texas, Donald Hoekstra, Hopkins, and Stanley Hoekstra, Tallahassee, Fla.; two sisters, Patti (Norman) Barkve, Tallahassee, and Jody (Bill) Mackey, DeSmet, S.D.; and seven grandchildren.

The service will be 11 a.m. Friday at United Methodist Church, Ocheyedan, with the Rev. Douglas Harding officiating. Burial is in the Ocheyedan Township Cemetery.

Andringa Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
