Obituary: Vonnie Christensen
Vonnie Christensen died on Wednesday, December 10, 2008, at her residence in Worthington, Minnesota.
Vonnie Mae Christensen, 75, was born on September 8, 1933, in Worthington, MN, the daughter of Gunder and Lauretta (Horst) Christensen. She lived on Johnson Avenue for 27 years and at the Atrium for 17 years. Vonnie then moved to the Meadows. She was a member of the First Lutheran Church. Vonnie worked as a nurse’s aide and a personal care attendant. She loved the young and old and everything in between. Vonnie crocheted many, many blankets for all. She was an AVID Twins and Vikings fan. Vonnie died on Wednesday, December 10, 2008, at her residence in Worthington, Minnesota.
Vonnie is survived by two sisters, Lorraine Balas, of Worthington, MN, and Marie Christensen, of Worthington, MN; one brother, Chuck Christensen, of Luverne, MN, and several nieces and nephews. She will be cherished by her whole family forever.
Private family services took place Saturday.
Benson Funeral Home in Worthington is in charge of the arrangements.
