Surviving are his wife, Elaine, Hills; three children, Lisa (Randy) Sasker, John Vanden Berg and Linda (Adam) Uithoven, all of Luverne; his mother, Martha Vanden Berg, Richfield; eight siblings, Donna West, Topeka, Kan., Calvin (Janie) Vanden Berg, Pipestone, Milton (Gwen) Vanden Berg, Pipestone, Judith Vanden Berg, Richfield, David (Dawn) Vanden Berg, Hutchinson, Mark Vanden Berg, Willis, Texas, Philip Vanden Berg, Tokyo, Japan, and Norma (Elwin) Brands, Kenneth; and seven grandchildren.
Visitation will be from 2 to 8 p.m. Thursday, with the family present from 6 to 8 p.m., at Jurrens Funeral Home, Hills.
The service will be 10 a.m. Friday at American Reformed Church, Luverne, with Rev. Dave Sikkema officiating. Burial will be in Maplewood Cemetery, Luverne.
