Linus Smith, 90, of Jackson, died Thursday, Jan. 1, 2009, at Sanford Hospital in Sioux Falls, S.D.
Surviving are his wife, Lorraine; four sons, Robert (Lonnie) Moffitt, Welcome; Dennis (LeAnn) Moffitt, Dunnell; Allan (Sandi) Moffitt, Taylor, Mo. and Mike (Bobetta) Smith, Jackson; a daughter, Donna (Jim) Barnhart, Galena, Ill.; a sister, Fern Abell, Forsyth, Mo.; 15 grandchildren and 17 great-grandchildren.
Visitation was from 3 to 5 p.m. Sunday, with a prayer service at 4:30 p.m., at Osterberg Funeral Home, Jackson, and will be from 9:30 to 10:30 a.m. today at the Church of the Good Shepherd, Jackson.
The service will be 10:30 a.m. today at the Church of the Good Shepherd, Jackson, with the Rev. Peter Schuster officiating. Burial will be in Good Shepherd Cemetery.
