Clarence David “Shorty” Swanson, 97, of Slayton, died Tuesday, Feb. 23, 2010, at Golden Living Center, Slayton.

Clarence David “Shorty” Swanson, 97, of Slayton, died Tuesday, Feb. 23, 2010, at Golden Living Center, Slayton.

Surviving are four children, Carol Corwin, Windom, David (Neva) Swanson, Slayton, Joel (Beverly) Swanson, Fergus Falls, and Linda (Larry) Sanow, Slayton; 15 grandchildren; 34 great-grandchildren; five great-great-grandchildren; seven step-great-grandchildren; and two step-great-great-grandchildren.

Visitation will be from 4 to 7 p.m. Friday at Totzke Funeral Home, Slayton, and from 9:30 to 10:30 a.m. Saturday at First Presbyterian Church, Slayton.

The service will be 10:30 a.m. Saturday at First Presbyterian Church, Slayton, with the Rev. Barbara Whipple officiating. Burial will be in Slayton Memorial Gardens, Slayton.
