Lois Marie Kadinger, age 76, of Worthington, died Tuesday, August 31, 2010, at the North Memorial Residence Hospice in Brooklyn Center.
Lois Marie Kadinger, age 76, of Worthington, died Tuesday, August 31, 2010, at the North Memorial Residence Hospice in Brooklyn Center. She was born May 18, 1934, in Salem, SD, to Matthew A. and Martha (Hicks) Gstohl. She graduated from St. Mary Catholic High School, in Salem, SD, in 1952.
Lois married George Kadinger on September 11, 1954, in Hartford, SD. After their marriage, the couple lived in Ft. Dodge, IA. Lois worked as a waitress. The couple later divorced.
Lois married Adermo Bianchi on May 19, 1965, in Luverne. Adermo died on October 29, 1974. Lois remarried George Kadinger on November 9, 1975, in Worthington. After their marriage, the couple lived in Worthington. Lois retired in 1984.
She was a member of St. Mary Catholic Church, in Worthington; the WCCW; and the Worthington VFW Ladies Auxiliary. She was an avid reader and enjoyed buying & selling antiques and traveling to casinos.
Lois is survived by her four children, George Kadinger Jr., St. Paul; Joseph (Miriam) Kadinger, Lakeside, CA; Mary Ellen Nordquist, New York, NY; and Suzanne (John) Flottmeier, Maple Grove; five grandchildren, Eric Nordquist, Dalette Kadinger, Matthew Kadinger, Morgan Flottmeier & Nicholas Flottmeier; two sisters, Mary Jane Wiese, Sioux Falls, SD; and Florence Colwell, Sioux Falls, SD; and two brothers, Don (Karen) Gstohl, Scottsdale, AZ; and Joe (Linda) Gstohl, Dallas, TX.
She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, George Sr., on March 25, 2008; son, Mark, on November 18, 1992; and two brothers, Bud & Matt Gstohl.
Visitation will be from 6-8 pm Friday, with parish prayers at 8pm, at the Dingmann Funeral Home in Worthington. Visitation will also be from 10 to 10:45 am Saturday at the funeral home. Funeral will be 11:00 am Saturday at St. Mary Catholic Church, officiated by Fr. Jim Calahan. Burial will be in the parish cemetery.
