Services: Karen Smith

Karen Mae Smith, 67, of Sheldon, Iowa, died Monday, Nov. 15, 2010, at the Community Memorial Health Center, Hartley, Iowa.

Surviving is her husband, Gordon Smith, Sheldon; a son, Joe (Kathie) Smith; a daughter, Rebecca (Jason) Schwarz, Sheldon; two step-children, Steve (Angie) Smith, Sheldon, and Peggy (Robert) Jager, Ashton, Iowa; three brothers, Gaylen (Carol) Gano, Vancover, Wash., Raymond (Doris) Gano, Okla., Edward (Betty) Gano, Worthington; six sisters, Elfay (Bob) Merical, Allendorf, Iowa, Virginia (Dick) Eastman, Stockton, Calif., Kay (Lloyd) Dolphin, Hospers, Iowa, Beverly (Roger) Jensen, Sheldon, Iowa, Sandra (Dennis) Farnsworth, Dublin, Ga., and Cindy McParland, Sanborn, Iowa; 14 grandchildren; and 15 great-grandchildren.

The service will be at 10:30 a.m. today at Parkview Assembly of God, Sheldon. Burial with military honors will be in the Roseland Cemetery, Sanborn, Iowa.
