John Swanson, 68, of Walnut Grove, died Saturday, Sept. 17, 2011, at St. Cloud Hospital.
John Swanson, 68, of Walnut Grove, died Saturday, Sept. 17, 2011, at St. Cloud Hospital.
Surviving are his wife, Carol; one son, Duane Swanson, Monticello; four stepchildren, Tiffany (Kurt) Krieger, Pennock, Diana Dunkklee, Luverne, James Ferrian, Japan, and Darlene (Todd) Hansen, Spicer; four siblings, Eugene (Marilyn) Swanson, Walnut Grove, Jillene (Eldon) Kathman, Buffalo, Richard (Faith) Swanson, Walnut Grove, and Ruth Ann (John) Thompson, St. Paul; two grandchildren; and 10 step-grandchildren.
Visitation will be from 5 to 8 p.m. today, with a prayer service at 7 p.m., at Walnut Grove Funeral Home, and from 1 to 2 p.m. Wednesday at Trinity Lutheran Church, Walnut Grove.
The service will be 2 p.m. Wednesday at Trinity Lutheran Church, Walnut Grove. Burial will be in Walnut Grove Cemetery.
