Betty Fauskee, 92, was born on May 21, 1919, in Round Lake, MN, the daughter of Ernie and Luella (Thompson) Bahls.
Betty Fauskee, 92, was born on May 21, 1919, in Round Lake, MN, the daughter of Ernie and Luella (Thompson) Bahls. She graduated from Round Lake High School and Mankato Teachers College. Betty married Henry “Hank” Fauskee on January 18, 1947, in Worthington, MN. She taught in various schools including, Rushmore, Jackson, Pipestone, Bigelow and Worthington. The only time Betty was not teaching was when she took a leave of absence to be with Hank while he was serving in the military. Betty retired after 45 years as a professional educator. She was very passionate about the education of children. Betty was a good artist, loved her dog and enjoyed following the Minnesota Twins and spending time at her weekend home in Round Lake. Betty died on Monday, December 5, 2011 at the Crossroads Care Center in Worthington.
Betty is survived by her sister, Norma Voss; nephew, Michael Voss; two sisters-in-law, Fanchon Ness and Genevieve (Richard) Mielke, all of Worthington; and several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her husband, Hank and her parents.
Private family burial will be in the Worthington Cemetery.
Family requests no memorials.
