Obituary: Dorothy Roemeling

Dorothy Ann Roemeling, age 68, of Adrian, died Tuesday, January 3, 2012, at the Adrian Country Living Cottages.

Dorothy Ann Roemeling, age 68, of Adrian, died Tuesday, January 3, 2012, at the Adrian Country Living Cottages. She was born May 1, 1943, in Adrian, to John and Viola (Reiffenberger) Roemeling. She attended school at St. Adrian Catholic School.

Dorothy lived in Adrian most all of her life with the exception of a brief time when she resided at Golden Horizons in Worthington. She helped her parents raise sixteen children and nieces & nephews.

She was a member of St. Adrian Catholic Church. She enjoyed raising her animals including dogs & cats and her duck, Quackers.

Dorothy is survived by her 14 siblings, Jim (Germaine) Roemeling, Adrian; Jeannie (Butch) Hieronimus, Adrian; Kathy Haken, Worthington; Pat (Bob) Honken, Wilmont; Tom (Bev) Roemeling, Wyoming, MN; Jerry (Cindy) Roemeling, Adrian; Donna Rippel, Worthington; Jack Roemeling, Luverne; Linda (Dennis) Heidebrink, Worthington; Larry (Lezlee) Roemeling, Adrian; Mark (Gloria) Roemeling, Edgerton; Diane (Kenny) Bents, Adrian; Deb Lange, Eagan; and Julie (Doug) Hermeling, Adrian; many nieces & nephews; and great nieces & nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents; brother, Rick, on June 21, 1998; and a nephew, Michael, on November 1, 2008.

Visitation will be from 4 to 8 p.m. Friday, with parish prayers at 7 pm, at the Dingmann Funeral Home, in Adrian. Visitation also from 1 to 1:45 pm Saturday at the funeral home. Funeral will be 2 pm Saturday at St. Adrian Catholic Church, Adrian, officiated by Fr. Timothy Hall. Burial will be in the parish cemetery.
