Levi T. Buresch, 20, of Lakefield passed away on Friday, January 6, 2012 near Lakefield. Funeral service will be on Tuesday, January 10, 2012 at 10:30 AM at the First United Methodist Church in Windom with Pastor Art Miller officiating. Burial will be in the Lakefield City Cemetery – Lakefield.
Visitation will be on Monday from 5 to 8 PM at the Immanuel Lutheran Church in Lakefield and on Tuesday – one hour prior to the service at the First United Methodist Church – Windom.
Levi Thomas Buresch was born on February 11, 1991 in Lakefield, Minnesota the son of Keith and Pauline (Klassen) Buresch. He attended Immanuel Lutheran School in Lakefield and graduated from Jackson County Central in 2010. He was a sophomore at SDSU in Brookings, South Dakota, majoring in agronomy and animal science. While in high school he was a member of FFA and was a member of the Soils team with his brother, Luke, which won the Minnesota State Championship. Levi was later a member of the State Champion Meats Team. He was also the Premier Crops Showman at the Minnesota State Fair in 2009 and 2010. Levi had a zest for life but he had a tendency to always be late. Levi passed away on Friday, January 6, 2012 at the age of 20 years, 10 months and 26 days.
Levi was a member of the First United Methodist Church in Windom. His faith and belief in God was an important part of his life. He loved the outdoors and the farm. He was full of life and loved to be around family and friends. He always enjoyed family campfires. Levi loved spending time with his grandparents. He loved watching sports, especially baseball. When he did something he gave it his all. He enjoyed jet skiing on Fish Lake and target shooting. He could always make you smile.
Levi is survived by his parents, Keith and Pauline Buresch of Lakefield; a sister, Amanda Buresch of Lakefield; a brother, Luke Buresch of Lakefield, his grandparents, Emil and Martha Buresch of Lakefield and Harold and Ann Klassen of Mountain Lake; his uncles, Michael (Susan) Buresch of Lakefield, Byron (Keri) Buresch of Lakefield, and Orvil (Karen) Klassen of Mountain Lake; an aunt, Myra (Klassen) Craig Stoesz of Mound, MN; many cousins and his puppy buddies, Rascal and Max.
Levi was preceded in death by his aunt, Inez Klassen in 1974.
