Obituary: Marc Johnson

Marc H. Johnson, age 41, of Mankato, died Tuesday, January 17, 2012, at his home.

A Memorial Service will 11 a.m. Saturday, Jan. 21 at Mankato Mortuary with the Rev. Jay Dahlvang officiating. Burial will be at a later date.

Marc was born on June 5, 1970, in Sault Ste. Marie, Mich., to Norman and Judith (Carr) Johnson. He graduated from Storden-Jeffers High School in 1988. Marc attended Bemidji State University. Marc worked at Hillcrest Nursing Home, E I Microcircuits, and most recently at Wild Rose Home Health Care. He enjoyed photography, reading, fishing and camping, especially in the Bemidji area and on the Rainy River. He liked his plants and herbal gardens. Marc was a loving uncle who enjoyed spending time with his niece and nephew. He was a quiet, reserved man with a dry sense of humor. He was extremely proud to be a member of the Mankato Masonic Lodge #12. Marc always wanted to make people happy.

He is survived by his parents, Norm and Judy Johnson of Jeffers; two brothers, Eric of Jeffers and Jeremy of Minneapolis; nephew and niece, Joe and Sara; aunts, uncles, and cousins. He was preceded in death by his grandparents.

Marc was a kind and gentle son, brother, and uncle and will be greatly missed.
