Obituary: Ronald McDaniel
Ronald Michael McDaniel, 40, died Saturday, February 25, 2012.
Ronald Michael McDaniel, 40, was born on March 12, 1971, in Omaha, NE, the son of Randy McDaniel and Rita (Bean) Minikus. He grew up in Omaha with his mother and step-father, Rita and Jim Minikus, two brothers, Roger McDaniel and Phillip Sanchez, and Grandma Viola Bean. Ronald married Dawna Butera on May 17, 2003, in Omaha. In 2009, they moved to Minnesota and have resided there since. In 2010, he was hospitalized for failing lungs and placed on life support. Through the prayers of Abundant Life UPC Church in Worthington, he was given a second chance at life. Ronald was found deceased in his sleep on Saturday, February 25, 2012, by his wife.
“Ronnie” will be well remembered by his joy for his friends, family, and his love of fishing in Okoboji; as well as, his cooking dance. May he rest in peace.
Ronald is survived by his wife, Dawna McDaniel; son, Corey Butera, and daughter, Stevie Goin. He is also survived by children from a previous marriage: daughter, Lindsie McDaniel and sons, Allen, Jacob, and Austin McDaniel; his uncle, Jimmy Bean, and his aunt, Sandy Jones. He was preceded in death by his birth father, Randy McDaniel.
Memorial services will be held on Monday, March 5, 2012, at 6:00 p.m., at the Abundant Life Tabernacle, 627 Clary St., Worthington, MN, with Pastor Todd Bauman officiating.
Benson Funeral Home in Worthington is in charge of the arrangements.
