Ryan Joseph Bird, 32, was born on May 30, 1979, in Worthington, MN. He was the son of Jan and Darla (Kahl) Bird.

Ryan Joseph Bird, 32, was born on May 30, 1979, in Worthington, MN. He was the son of Jan and Darla (Kahl) Bird. Ryan’s favorite past-time was riding and watching trains. He graduated from Worthington High School in 2001. Ryan worked at The Achievement Center and most recently at DAC. He was a coach’s assistant for the Worthington Cubs. Ryan enjoyed all sports teams, fishing, bowling, and playing darts. Ryan died on Saturday, May 19, 2012, at the St. Mary’s Hospital in Rochester, MN.
Ryan is survived by his parents, Jan and Darla Bird of Worthington; his brothers, Heath and Lotti Bird and their children, Cody and Connor of Monticello, MN and Lance and Shelly Bird and their child, Kami of Worthington, MN, and several aunts, uncles, nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his grandparents, Harry and Hannah Bird and Bud and Della Kahl.
Memorial services will be held on Wednesday, May 23, 2012, at 11:00 a.m., at the American Lutheran Church in Worthington, MN, with Pastor Bruce Carlson officiating. Casket bearers will be Curt Bossert, Brett Lehman, Kim White, Darin Rehnelt, Cody Degroot and Mike Dempster.
Visitation will be from 5-8 pm on Tuesday, May 22, 2012 at the Benson Funeral Home in Worthington.
