I have always felt loved because of Aunt Berdina. She gave of herself for family members because she valued us all. She has given us valuable memories that we will treasure until we meet up again. I greatly look forward to that time. The road of life may take us where we do not care to go. Up rocky paths, down darken trails, our steps unsure and slow. But our dear Lord extends his hand to hold, to help, to guide us. We never have to feel alone for he walks close beside us. Through our trials, whatever their origin, our sovereign God is in complete control, governing His world with loving mercy. He does not require us to suffer as payment for our sins. In Christ, His love and grace has provided full payment for all of them. “For it is by grace you have been saved, through faith—and this is not from yourselves, it is the gift of God-- not by works, so that no one can boast.” Ephesians 2:8-9, “There is no judgment awaiting those that trust in him.” John 3: 18, “---a man is not justified by works of the law but through faith in Jesus Christ, even we have believed in Christ Jesus, in order to be justified by faith in Christ, and not by works of the law, because by works of the law shall no man be justified.” Galatians 2:16, and “I do not set aside the grace of God, for if righteousness could be gained through the law, Christ died for nothing!” Galatians 2:21 Jesus gives promises to those who trust in him for their salvation: “I am the resurrection and the life. He who believes in Me will live, even though he dies; and whoever lives and believes in Me will never die.” John11:25-26. May you find strength in God’s presence at this time—may his love be your comfort. We send you our love and the love of our Savior, Jesus. “Grace be to you and peace from God our Father and from the Lord Jesus Christ.” 2 Corinthians 1:2 Have a happy forever, Dallas and BernadetteArgyle, TX 07/18/2012 10:57 PM
