Obituary: Amanda Connors

Amanda L. Connors, 24, of Sioux Falls, S.D. passed away on Tuesday, September 11, 2012 in Sioux Falls.

Amanda L. Connors, 24, of Sioux Falls, S.D. passed away on Tuesday, September 11, 2012 in Sioux Falls. Funeral service will be at the 1st Reformed Church at 4800 S. Tomar in Sioux Falls, S.D. on Saturday, September 15 at 11 a.m., with Pastor Dan Ebbens officiating with burial to be later that day.

Visitation will be from 5 to 8 p.m. today with a prayer service at 8 p.m., at the Church of the Good Shepherd in Jackson; and on Saturday one hour prior to the service at the church.

Amanda Louise Connors was born on August 5, 1988 in Mankato, Minnesota, the daughter of Catherine Connors and Joel Austin. She graduated from Ellsworth High School in 2007 and later graduated from Stewarts School of Cosmetology in October of 2008. After her graduation, she has worked at Cost Cutters in Sioux Falls, first as a stylist and had just become the store manager. Amanda passed away in Sioux Falls on Tuesday, September 11, 2012 at 24 years, 1 month and 6 days.

Amanda met the love of her life, Tyler Veurink in April 2008. They were perfect for each other. She loved going back home to the farm and was excited to start their lives together in Platte.

Amanda had been attending the Christian Reformed Church in New Holland. She enjoyed shopping and giving presents. She had a love for animals and was known for her big and soft heart. She enjoyed dancing and Karaoke. She was always the life of the party. She was an avid volleyball player and was very competitive in the games she played. She loved hanging out with her friends and family and having fun. She had a bubbly personality and touched the lives of many people. She was said to have a beautiful soul.

Amanda is survived by her soul mate, Tyler Veurink of Platte, her mother, Catherine Connors of Jackson, her father, Joel Austin of Jackson, grandmother, Lois Connors of Jackson, three brothers, William Connors, Benjamin Connors, Jason Austin, one sister, Nikki Austin, Tyler’s parents, Melvin and Patty Veurink of New Holland, S.D. and three sisters, Wendy ( Toby) Qualm and their children, Braelyn and Charlotte of Platte, S.D., Chris (Joel) Bordewyk and their children, Ethan, Eli, Isaac, and Ava of Sioux Falls S.D., and Cassie Veurink of Sioux Falls, S.D.

Amanda was preceded in death by her grandfather, Leo “Bill” Connors, her uncle and aunt, Francis and Solveig Connors and a cousin, Carmen Miles.

Blessed be the memory of Amanda Louise Connors.
