Jerry Alan Grunewald, age 41, Baxter, MN area resident since 1984, formerly of the Windom- Kinbrae area, died Sunday, October 14 at his home. He was born in Westbrook, Murray County, Minnesota on March 6, 1971 to Richard and Violet (Horkey) Grunewald.
Jerry was a 1989 Brainerd High School Graduate and had been employed by the Brainerd Public Schools for 14 years.
Surviving are his Wife Jenny; Children Hannah and Will; Mom Karen; 4-brothers Dean (Brenda) Grunewald of St. James, Mn, Randy Grunewald of Kinbrae, MN. George (Tammy) Mattson of Brainerd, MN; Tom Grunewald of Kinbrae, MN; Sister Sandy (Ron) Wilde of Luverne, MN. His extended family including, Kari (Derrick) Roberts of Baxter, MN,Gregg (Char) Peterson of Brainerd, Andrene (Josh) Robinson-Crook of Baxter, MN; Mother-in-law Janice Marohn of Baxter, MN; Father-in-law Gary Peterson of Baxter, MN; 21 nieces and nephews and 7 great-nieces and great nephews.
He was preceded in death by his father Richard, mother Violet and an infant brother.
Funeral service will be 11 a.m. Thursday, October 18, 2012, at Lord of Life Lutheran Church, 6190 Fairview Road, Baxter, MN. Pastor Harvey Peterson will officiate. Burial will be in Baxter City Cemetery. Luncheon at church will follow the burial service.
Visitation will be 4 to 8 p.m. Wednesday with Prayer Service 8 p.m. Wednesday at Nelson-Doran Funeral Home in Brainerd. Visitation continues the hour before services Thursday at the Church.
