Timothy Lowell Aker, 61, was born on February 2, 1951, in Sioux Falls, SD, the son of Clayton Aker and Treva (Moeller) Hass.
Timothy Lowell Aker, 61, was born on February 2, 1951, in Sioux Falls, SD, the son of Clayton Aker and Treva (Moeller) Hass. He grew up in rural Chester, SD with his mother and step-father Carl Hass, two older sisters, Cheryl (Aker) VanDuyn and Linda (Aker) Grayson and three younger siblings, John Hass, Paula (Hass) Eulberg and Dean Hass. He attended school in Chester and graduated in 1969. He then attended Dakota State University in Madison, SD graduating in 1973 with a degree in education. Tim made his living in sales, and in service at the Church.
Tim married Camilla Omanson on June 23, 1973 in rural Salem, SD. They made their home just outside of Worthington on Lake Ocheda. Tim and Cam were blessed with three wonderful children, Anna (Jonathan) Mahlberg, Anthony (Kelly) Aker and Austin (Yasmine) Aker as well as four grandchildren, Lilly, Claire, Wilson and Greta.
Tim passed away on November 16, 2012 at Sanford Hospital, Sioux Falls, SD.
Tim is survived by his wife, children and grandchildren. He is preceded in death by his father, mother, step-father, two older sisters and father-in-law, Ralph Omanson.
Funeral services will be held on Tuesday, November 20, 2012, at 10:30 am, at First Baptist Church, Worthington, MN, with Pastor Jonah Beckermann officiating. Burial will be held at Sun Prairie Baptist, rural Salem, SD.
Benson Funeral Home in Worthington is in charge of the arrangements.
