Colorado suspect charged with 24 counts of murder
CENTENNIAL, Colo. (AP) — Colorado prosecutors on Monday charged a former neuroscience graduate student with 24 counts of murder and 116 counts of attempted murder in the shooting rampage at the midnight showing of the new Batman movie. James Holmes appeared just as dazed as he did in his first court appearance last week, but at one point exchanged a few words with one of his attorneys in the packed courtroom.

Ronald "Ronnie" Dean Muecke
Ronnie Muecke was born on July 29, 1936 in Slayton, Minnesota to Walter and Madeline Holm Muecke. He grew up in Slayton and attended Slayton High School. Ronnie worked for Olson Welding and later for Art Olson making fiberglass boats for Slayton Boat Industries. On August 16, 1958 he and Marlene Kulseth were married at Christ Lutheran Church in Slayton. Following their marriage they made their home in Slayton and raised their two daughters. Ronnie worked for Muecke Sand and Gravel in Slayton and Slayton Zero Pack as a meat cutter. Ronnie then worked for Rupp Construction in Slayton until his retirement in 1999. On April 16, 2013 Ronnie moved to Our House Hospice Home in Slayton and passed away there on Monday, April 22, 2013 surrounded by his family at the age of 76. He was a member of Christ Lutheran Church in Slayton. He enjoyed spending time with family and friends, fishing, hunting, golfing and visiting with friends.
Survivors include his wife, Marlene Muecke of Slayton, MN, two daughters, Julie and DuWayne Like of Winona, MN, and Lisa and Jon Wajer of Brewster, MN, two grandsons, Nathan and Amber Wajer of Rushmore, MN, and Logan Wajer of Brewster, MN, six brothers and sisters, Walter Muecke Jr. of Slayton, MN, Sharon and Robert Schultz of Westbrook, MN, Gary and Dottie Muecke of Slayton, MN, Orian and Sue Muecke of Plymoth, MN, Dennis Muecke of Slayton, MN, and Trudy and Robert Biegler of Iona, MN.
