Jerusha Ann Lowe
Jerusha Ann (Solt) Lowe, age 40, of rural Worthington, passed away at her home on Tuesday, May 7, 2013. Jerusha was born on May 29, 1972, in Mankato, MN, the daughter of Dale and Kathleen (Kleinbeck) Solt. Her family moved to Worthington, MN in 1976 and then to Reading, MN in 1977. She attended Worthington School District, graduating from Worthington High School in 1990. Jerusha married Charles “Buster” Lowe on March 7, 1998, in Dewar, OK.

Jerusha was active in many organizations in school. She was past president and first female president of the Worthington FFA chapter; she also held offices in the regional and state FFA chapters. She participated in band, choir, volleyball, and track, as well as was a statistician for football, baseball, and wrestling.

Dorothy Ann Hough
Dorothy Ann Hough was born to Niels and Anna (Hansen) Nielsen on February 3, 1930, near Rothsay, MN. She grew up on the farm near Rothsay where she attended school graduating in 1948. She was united in marriage to Armand Hough on June 13, 1948. They lived in Barnesville, MN, where Armand ran Hough’s Market and Dorothy worked many various jobs. While in Barnesville, they were members of St. James United Church of Christ and Dorothy’s passion was singing in the church choir. Dorothy had a beautiful voice and was a soloist at many weddings and funerals.

The Hough’s moved to Worthington in 1974 and Dorothy found employment at Johnson Jewelry where she stayed until retirement. First United Methodist Church became her new church home where she continued with her love of singing for many years. In her retirement years, she loved spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren, and with her dog, Scruffy.
