WORTHINGTON — If at first you don’t succeed, try, try again. This is what I did with my attempts at amateur beekeeping. My friend, Casey Ingenthron, along with Les Johnson made about a $750 investment in some bee hive components and glamorous beekeeping apparel. Casey built the hives and we ordered the interior frames and other components from a distributor.

WORTHINGTON — Rosie Rogers didn’t really know what she was getting into when she applied for a job with the Worthington Housing and Redevelopment Authority some 28 years ago. She had just returned from a trip to Germany with the Worthington High School choir and found a letter in her mailbox from friend Nancy Gruchow. “She had clipped out the advertisement and included a note that said, ‘I could see you in this job. Globe trotters: Students expand their horizons through international programs
WORTHINGTON — With high school behind them and the world before them, three 2010 graduates of Worthington High School (WHS) are among those who decided to expand their horizons and further their cultural educations last semester. Traveling to diverse locales — Ghana, Denmark and Hawaii — these students each spent at least four months studying outside their comfort zones, gaining independence, confidence and insight in the process. Here is a brief account of their recent sojourns.
