Cassidy C. Voss
CASSIDY C. VOSS, 23, of Lakefield passed away on Friday, June 7, 2013 near Clear Lake in Jackson County. Funeral service will be on Wednesday, June 12, 2013 at 10:30 AM at the First United Methodist Church in Lakefield with Pastor Kathy Brandt officiating. Burial will be in the Lakefield City Cemetery – Lakefield. Visitation was on Tuesday, June 11, 2013 from 5 to 8 PM at the Osterberg Funeral Home in Lakefield and will be on Wednesday – one hour prior to the service at the Church.

CASSIDY COLLIN VOSS was born on March 15, 1990 in Lakefield, Minnesota, the son of Steven and Patricia Voss. He graduated from Jackson County Central in 2008. After high school, he worked as a carpenter and helped his dad build a house in Lakefield. He worked for Fortune Trucking as a diesel mechanic. He also enjoyed helping his dad on the family farm. Cassidy passed away on Friday, June 7, 2013 at the age of 23 years, 2 months and 23 days. Cassidy was a member of the First United Methodist Church in Lakefield, where he had been baptized and confirmed. For many years, he loved playing goalie for the Windom Area Hockey team. He had an artistic side that was portrayed by doing a mosaic pattern of a pheasant in tile on the basement floor. He was a social butterfly and loved meeting new people and trying new adventures. He was always looking for a challenge. He had a great sense of humor and was especially known for his random silly thoughts. He was fun- loving and carefree. He loved being around kids, especially his niece and nephews. Cassidy is survived by his parents, Steven and Patricia Voss of Lakefield, his sister, Alyssa (Randy) Downey of Sioux Falls, SD, a brother, Jesse (Nicole) Voss of Rochester, his paternal grandparents, Leon and Violet Voss of Lakefield and maternal grandmother, Gladys Fricke of Round Lake, several aunts and uncles, Carol (Dale) Bayerkohler of New Richland, Allan (Delores) Fricke of Worthington, June (Randy) Howard of Ocheyedan, IA, Jane (Robert) Christ of Harris, IA, Diane Hall (Bill Kramme) of Lakefield, Norman (Clare) Fricke of Littleton, CO, Steven (Deborah) Fricke of Lakefield, Betty (Darvin) DeBerg of Heron Lake, Diane (Timothy) Torrel of Virginia, MN, Linda (Bradley) Mohns of Round Lake, Sherri (Peter) Hodnefield of Lakefield and Todd Voss of Garner, IA and many special cousins.
